MSC Musica Refurbishment Is Underway Ahead of Yacht Club Debut
MSC Musica has officially entered the shipyard for one of the biggest transformations of its 20-year history.
The ship is currently undergoing a major refurbishment in Malta ahead of its return to service in November 2026, with the biggest addition being a brand-new MSC Yacht Club.
And this isn’t just a small section being carved out of the existing ship. MSC is adding 63 Yacht Club suites along with the private spaces normally found inside its ship-within-a-ship experience.
What’s Being Added to MSC Musica?
The new MSC Yacht Club will include 63 suites spread across four categories, 24-hour butler and concierge service, a private Top Sail Lounge, dedicated restaurant and an outdoor sundeck with two whirlpools, a grill and bar.
One of the more interesting additions is a new two-room Grand Suite. MSC says this suite type will be exclusive to its Musica Class ships.

It’s Not Just Yacht Club
Several other areas of MSC Musica are also getting a refresh.
Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar are being added to the ship, while the MSC Aurea Spa will receive a significant redesign.
The fitness center is also being upgraded with Technogym equipment, dedicated yoga and spinning studios, and panoramic aft-facing views.
Altogether, this is a pretty substantial modernization for a ship that originally entered service in 2006.
When Will the New MSC Musica Sail?
MSC Musica is expected to return to service in November 2026 before beginning its South American season.
The refreshed ship will offer cruises from Brazil, including shorter 3- and 4-night sailings as well as longer itineraries visiting destinations in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
MSC Yacht Club cabins for the renovated ship are already available to book.
The Entire Musica Class Is Getting Yacht Club
MSC Musica is the third Musica Class ship to receive Yacht Club following MSC Magnifica and MSC Poesia.
MSC Orchestra is next, with its own major refurbishment planned for early 2027.
Once Orchestra’s transformation is complete, all four Musica Class ships will offer MSC Yacht Club.
That’s a pretty significant change for some of MSC’s older and smaller ships. Guests will soon be able to get the full Yacht Club experience without necessarily sailing on one of MSC’s much larger, newer ships.
And with just 63 suites planned for Musica’s Yacht Club, it could end up being an especially interesting option for cruisers who prefer a smaller-ship feel.
