MSC Seaside Lounges Guide
I recently sailed on MSC Seaside, and one thing I really liked about the ship is that it has a lounge for almost every mood. There are bright lounges for game shows, quiet corners for coffee, lively bars for music, outdoor spots near the pools, and casual places where you can just sit for a while and take a break from the busier parts of the ship.
MSC Seaside is known for its outdoor design and connection to the sea, but I think the lounges are a big part of what makes the ship work. You do not always want to be by the pool, in the buffet, or walking around the promenade. Sometimes you just want a comfortable place to sit, grab a drink or coffee, listen to music, or people-watch.
After sailing on MSC Seaside, my favorite lounge was easily the Seaview Lounge. It felt cozy, quiet, and relaxing during the day, and it was also great at night when the lights were dimmed and live musicians were playing. It was a winner for me.
Here is my guide to the lounges and lounge-style bars on MSC Seaside, including which ones I liked best and what kind of mood each spot is best for.
Quick Take: Best Lounges on MSC Seaside
If you are short on time, these were the standout lounge spots for me on MSC Seaside.
- Best overall lounge: Seaview Lounge
- Best quiet afternoon spot: Seaview Lounge
- Best lounge for game shows: Haven Lounge
- Best lively evening spot: Garage Club
- Best sports and casual hangout: Sports Bar
- Best elegant drink spot: Champagne Bar
- Best central people-watching spot: Seaside Bar
- Best sweet treat stop: Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar
- Best outdoor pool bar feel: Miami Beach Bar
- Best aft outdoor bar: South Beach Bar
The nice thing about MSC Seaside is that these spaces do not all feel the same. Some ships have bars that blend together, but Seaside has several venues with their own personality.
Seaview Lounge
Seaview Lounge was my favorite lounge on MSC Seaside. During the day, it was cozy, quiet, and a great place to grab an afternoon coffee. It felt like one of those spots where you could actually slow down for a little while.
I liked that it did not feel as chaotic as some of the busier public areas. It was the kind of place where I could sit, relax, talk, or just take a break from walking around the ship.
At night, Seaview Lounge got even better. With the lights dimmed and live musicians playing, it had a really nice atmosphere. It felt comfortable without being boring, and lively without being too loud.
For me, Seaview Lounge was the winner. If you are sailing on MSC Seaside and want one lounge to check out first, this would be my pick.
My pick: Seaview Lounge is the best all-around lounge on MSC Seaside. It works for coffee in the afternoon and live music at night.
Haven Lounge
Haven Lounge is a totally different kind of space from Seaview Lounge, but I liked it for what it is. This is the lounge I would go to for game shows, activities, and a brighter, more energetic atmosphere.
It feels fun and open, and it works well when the entertainment team is hosting events. If Seaview Lounge is where I would go to relax, Haven Lounge is where I would go when I wanted something more active.
On my sailing, Haven Lounge felt like one of the better spots for organized entertainment. It is not the coziest lounge on the ship, but that is not really the point. It is bright, social, and built for a crowd.
If you like trivia, game shows, group events, or just watching the cruise staff get everyone involved, Haven Lounge is worth checking out.
Garage Club
Garage Club is one of the more fun and nightlife-focused spaces on MSC Seaside. It has a very different vibe from the quieter lounges, and that is what makes it useful.
This is the place I would think of for later-night energy, dancing, music, or a more casual party atmosphere. It does not have the relaxed coffee lounge feel of Seaview Lounge, and it is not as game-show focused as Haven Lounge. It feels more like a spot to hang out when you want the night to keep going.
I would not call Garage Club my favorite everyday lounge, but it definitely has a purpose. If you are looking for a livelier space after dinner, this is one to keep on your list.
Sports Bar
Sports Bar is one of the easiest lounges to understand on MSC Seaside. It is casual, relaxed, and good if you want a drink, a game, or a more laid-back place to hang out.
This is not the most elegant venue on the ship, but it is not trying to be. It works because it feels simple and comfortable. It is a good place for people who want something familiar, especially if they are not looking for live music or a formal lounge atmosphere.
I liked Sports Bar as a casual option. It is the kind of place you can stop into without feeling like you need to dress up or make it a whole event.
Champagne Bar
Champagne Bar is one of the more elegant lounge-style spots on MSC Seaside. It has a different energy than Haven Lounge or Sports Bar. It feels more polished and better suited for a pre-dinner drink or a quieter evening cocktail.
This is a good spot if you want something that feels a little more refined. It is not where I would go for games or loud entertainment, but it works well when you want a calmer drink before or after dinner.
If you like venues that feel more grown-up and less busy, Champagne Bar is worth stopping by at least once during the cruise.
Shine Bar
Shine Bar is another public bar area on MSC Seaside, and it works well as a convenient stop while you are moving through the ship. It is not the lounge I would build my whole night around, but it is useful.
Some bars on cruise ships are destinations, while others are more like easy meeting points. Shine Bar felt more like the second category to me. It is a good place to grab a drink, meet someone, or pause for a few minutes before heading somewhere else.
It may not have been my favorite, but it adds to the overall variety of the ship.
Seaside Bar
Seaside Bar is one of the central bar areas on MSC Seaside, and it is good for people-watching. Because of its location, it can feel more active and social than some of the quieter lounges.
I would not pick it over Seaview Lounge if I wanted a cozy atmosphere, but I would use it as an easy meeting spot or a place to grab a drink while moving around the ship.
If you like being near the action, Seaside Bar is a good option. If you want quiet, head to Seaview Lounge instead.
Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar
Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar is a fun stop on MSC Seaside, especially if you like coffee, chocolate, or something sweet. I would not call it a traditional lounge, but it definitely works as a sit-and-relax spot during the day.
This is a good place to go when you want a treat instead of a full meal or a cocktail. It also fits well into an afternoon break, especially if you are walking around the ship and want something different from the buffet or pool deck.
For me, Seaview Lounge was still the better coffee atmosphere, but Venchi is the better sweet treat stop.
Venchi 1878 Gelato & Crêperie
Venchi 1878 Gelato & Crêperie is another sweet spot onboard. Like the Chocolate Bar, it is not really a lounge in the traditional sense, but it is part of the ship’s casual hangout scene.
This is a good place for families, dessert lovers, or anyone who wants a quick treat while walking around. It is also a nice option when you do not want another full meal but still want something fun.
If you are sailing with kids, this is probably one of the easier venues to get them excited about.
Marketplace Bar
Marketplace Bar is connected to the buffet. It is practical more than atmospheric. If you are in or near the buffet area and just want a quick drink or coffee, it is convenient.
I would not go out of my way to visit the bar, but that is not really its role. Every ship needs easy bars near high-traffic food areas, and Marketplace Bar fills that need.
It is best for convenience, not ambiance.
Miami Beach Bar
Miami Beach Bar is one of the outdoor bars tied to the pool deck atmosphere. This is a good daytime spot if you are spending time outside, swimming, sunbathing, or relaxing near the main outdoor areas.
The vibe here is completely different from the indoor lounges. It is more about convenience, sun, and pool energy. If you are having a sea day, this is one of the bars you will probably notice quickly.
I would not compare it directly to Seaview Lounge or Haven Lounge because it serves a different purpose. It is a pool day bar, and it works well for that.
South Beach Bar
South Beach Bar is another outdoor option, and it is especially nice if you like being toward the aft part of the ship. MSC Seaside has a strong outdoor design, and South Beach Bar fits into that warm-weather cruise feeling.
This is a good spot when you want fresh air, ocean views, and a more casual drink outside. It is not a quiet lounge, but it gives you that classic cruise feeling of being outside with the sea around you.
If you are sailing in the Caribbean or Bahamas, this is the kind of bar that makes more sense as the cruise goes on.
Jungle Beach Bar
Jungle Beach Bar is another public outdoor bar on MSC Seaside, located near the ship’s family and pool activity areas. It is especially useful if you are spending time around the upper decks or traveling with kids.
This is more of a functional outdoor bar than a lounge, but it is still worth mentioning because it is part of the ship’s day-to-day rhythm. When people are swimming, using the waterpark, or hanging around the outdoor areas, Jungle Beach Bar is convenient.
It is best for daytime use, especially on warm-weather sailings.
Miramar Bar
Miramar Bar is another outdoor bar option on MSC Seaside. Like the other pool and deck bars, it is best when the weather is good and you want to be outside.
I would put this in the same general category as the ship’s other outdoor bars: good for convenience, good for sea days, and good when you want to enjoy the open-air design of MSC Seaside.
MSC Seaside is built to connect guests with the water, and the outdoor bars help support that feeling.
Miami Casino Bar
Miami Casino Bar is the spot to know if you are spending time in or near the casino. It is not the lounge I would choose for a relaxing drink, but it works for the casino environment.
If you like casino energy, this bar makes sense. If you do not care about the casino, you may not spend much time here.
It is another example of how MSC Seaside has a bar for almost every kind of mood, even if not every bar is a place you would sit for a long time.
What About Top Sail Lounge and Aurea Bar?
Top Sail Lounge is one of the nicest lounges on MSC ships, but it is not open to everyone. It is part of MSC Yacht Club, so I am not including it as a public lounge in this guide.
Aurea Bar is also not the same as a standard public lounge because it is tied to Aurea access. For this article, I focused on spaces that regular guests can use without being in Yacht Club or a special access area.
If you are booking Yacht Club, Top Sail Lounge is a major perk. But for most guests sailing in a standard cabin, the main public lounge conversation is really about places like Seaview Lounge, Haven Lounge, Garage Club, Sports Bar, Champagne Bar, and the public bars around the ship.
For more information on MSC Yacht Club see my Guide to MSC Yacht Club.
My Favorite Lounge on MSC Seaside
My favorite lounge on MSC Seaside was Seaview Lounge. It was the most comfortable all-around space for me.
During the afternoon, I loved it as a quiet coffee spot. At night, I liked it even more with live musicians, dimmed lights, and a cozy atmosphere. It felt like one of the few places onboard where I could relax without feeling like I was missing something louder or busier somewhere else.
Haven Lounge was great too, but for a different reason. It was fun, bright, and good for game shows. I would go there for activities, but I would go to Seaview Lounge because I actually wanted to spend time there.
Final pick: Seaview Lounge was my favorite lounge on MSC Seaside. Haven Lounge was best for game shows, but Seaview Lounge had the best overall vibe.

Final Thoughts on MSC Seaside’s Lounges
MSC Seaside has a better lounge variety than I expected. Some spaces are cozy, some are bright, some are casual, and some are built for entertainment. That variety matters because you do not want the same type of bar or lounge every night of the cruise.
For me, Seaview Lounge was the clear winner. It was cozy and quiet during the day, perfect for an afternoon coffee, and even better at night with live music and dimmed lights.
Haven Lounge was another standout, especially for game shows and hosted activities. It is fun, bright, and social, which makes it a great contrast to Seaview Lounge.
Not every bar on MSC Seaside is a destination, but each one serves a purpose. Whether you want coffee, cocktails, sports, music, pool drinks, or a game show, MSC Seaside really does have a lounge or bar for almost every mood.
