MSC World Asia Reveals Five New Bars and Lounges

MSC Cruises has revealed five new bar and lounge concepts coming to MSC World Asia, offering everything from customizable sodas and Asian-inspired cocktails to Italian aperitivos overlooking the ocean.

The new ship will feature a collection of 40 bars, lounges and cafés when it begins sailing in December 2026. The latest announcement gives us a closer look at five venues designed for different occasions, whether you’re looking for a quiet afternoon drink, something to enjoy before a show or somewhere to spend the evening.

Here’s what’s coming to MSC World Asia.

The Clubhouse and Soda Bar

One of the more unusual additions is the Clubhouse and Soda Bar, a colorful venue inspired by the 1980s and 1990s.

Guests will be able to create their own customized sodas by choosing a soda base and adding flavored syrups, cream and toppings. The Clubhouse itself will also feature interactive games, digital tables, a LEGO area and access to The Court, which offers bumper cars and other activities.

During the evening, the venue will become a social gathering space serving cocktails and mocktails. It’s an interesting concept because it gives families somewhere to spend time together without making the entire experience revolve around alcohol.

Located within the Luna Park Arena, the new Sky Box Bar will offer a more sophisticated cocktail experience.

Its menu will take inspiration from early 20th-century Futurism, reimagining classic cocktails with modern presentations. MSC also plans to introduce an element of entertainment, with bartenders preparing drinks through live mixology demonstrations.

Sky Box could become an interesting option for guests looking for a drink before a show or a quieter cocktail experience later in the evening.

The Terraces Bar & Lounge

The Terraces Bar & Lounge will bring an Italian aperitivo atmosphere to MSC World Asia, combining panoramic ocean views, cocktails and live music.

Guests can expect familiar Italian drinks such as Aperol Spritz and Negroni, alongside prosecco, wines and a selection of other spritzes. Traditional Italian bites, including focaccia and olives, will complement the drinks.

Wine enthusiasts will also be able to participate in expert-led tastings featuring selected local varieties inspired by the destinations visited during the cruise.

Of the five new venues, The Terraces sounds particularly appealing for anyone who enjoys a relaxed drink with an ocean view.

Coral Cove Bar

Coral Cove Bar will be located within the ship’s Coral Cove Pool area, with a design inspired by the colorful coral reefs of the Philippines.

Unlike the more elaborate cocktail concepts elsewhere onboard, Coral Cove will focus on familiar drinks in a relaxed poolside setting.

It should provide another convenient option for guests spending time around the pool without needing to visit one of the ship’s larger lounges.

MSC has also revealed more details about the Pan Asian Bar, part of the ship’s previously announced Pan Asian Street Food concept.

Overlooking the World Promenade, the bar will specialize in Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails, including Jasmine Mojitos, Rose and Strawberry Daiquiris and Matcha Coladas.

Guests will also find a selection of Asian beers alongside Oceanic Asian, a specially developed draft beer brewed at sea.

Since the larger Pan Asian Street Food concept will also include a specialty restaurant and complimentary grab-and-go street food, this could become one of World Asia’s more interesting dining and nightlife areas.

Familiar Favorites Are Returning Too

MSC World Asia won’t be introducing an entirely new collection of bars. Several familiar venues are also returning, including:

  • Coffee Emporium
  • Fizz Champagne Bar
  • All-Stars Sports Bar
  • Masters of the Sea

All-Stars Sports Bar will make its European debut aboard MSC World Asia, while Masters of the Sea will continue offering beer brewed at sea.

Another Difference Between MSC World Asia and Its Sister Ships

MSC World Asia will be the third ship in MSC’s World Class, following MSC World Europa and MSC World America.

Although the ships share a similar design, MSC is introducing several different experiences aboard World Asia. These include the previously announced Pan Asian Street Food concept, the expanded Venchi chocolate experience and now additional details about its new bars and lounges.

World Asia is beginning to develop its own personality, even while sharing much of the familiar World Class design.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to begin its first seven-night Mediterranean cruises on December 4, 2026, visiting Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina and Valletta.

While the complete drink menus and individual prices have not yet been released, these new venues should give guests plenty of different places to explore when the ship enters service.
